We're saving $200,000 a year, which is insane. Previously we were saving $10,000 a year.

FOUR QUADRANTS CLIENT SPOTLIGHT

After attending Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana for three years, Dr. Huseman was accepted to the Indiana University School of Dentistry (IUSD), where he graduated in 2006. Originally from northwest Indiana, he now practices dentistry and resides in Noblesville.

Dr. Huseman is passionate about being a dentist. In fact, he can't imagine doing anything else! He very much enjoys getting to know his patients. He communicates detailed, honest diagnostic information, and discusses the best treatment options. He finds it personally rewarding when he helps his patients achieve optimal dental wellbeing and beautiful, healthy smiles.

Dr. Huseman lives in Noblesville with his wife Michelle, son Matthew, and their dog Sadie. He enjoys spending his free time vacationing with his family and playing golf, which is his favorite pastime.

James Huseman:

Well, we've been a Four Quadrants client since 2011. My practice currently is a five operatory practice. It's a general practice and I do see all age groups, to multi-generational type practice. So we're going to see a lot of insurance patients. We're going to see some fee for service but general practice is pretty much what it is.

James Huseman:

Well, I was working for a corporation for a period of years and had the option to purchase the practice from them. And prior to making that purchase, wanted to get a little bit more information as far as the appropriate recommendations, just to make sure that we were moving in the right direction. And so Four Quadrants was a company that I was directed to and I met with them and they were able to steer us through that purchase.

James Huseman:

Our expectations for retirement prior to coming Four Quadrants... I wouldn't say that we really had expectations. And I think that was the problem, is we didn't really know what we were doing as far as retirement. We knew we should plan and put some money away. How much we needed to put away always varied because we'd have expenses and bills throughout the months in the year. And so we'd put whatever extra was there into a savings account and just kind of let that swell up as much as it could.

James Huseman:

Then coming to Four Quadrants, they had a specific plan. I mean, we're saving $200,000 a year, which is insane. Previously we were saving what? $10,000 a year or so and-

Michelle Huseman:

And putting it in a savings account with low interest thinking that was a smart thing to do.

James Huseman:

Putting it in a savings account, yeah, thinking that we were being responsible with our money. And yeah, coming out here, they rearranged some things, started a brokerage account, and like I said, $200,000 a year is what we're putting away. And we're on pace to retire early and retire multimillionaires.

Four Quadrants:

You don't feel like your lifestyle has changed at all?

Michelle Huseman:

No. If anything, it's easier because we know we're comfortable. There's less financial stress at home because we know that the money's there and that we're going to be taken care of later on. And same with him at work. I feel like at work, the financial burden is gone. If we have questions, we can go to them.

James Huseman:

So I get to do what I was trained to do, be a dentist, instead of worrying about being the money manager or worry about the marketing aspect. And they helped us to make sure things were where they needed to be.

Michelle Huseman:

They're just our go-to guys. They helped us with buying a new house, building a new house. If we have any question that we're not sure about, whether it's business or even personal life... We're thinking buy a new car so they're one of the first people we call to help us determine what we can afford, what we should look at, how much we should put down, if we're going to finance or not. I feel like they make our life easier.

James Huseman:

They're our go-to in making sure that our money is taken care of.
