Well before we met Four Quadrants we knew what we wanted but we really didn’t know how to get to where we wanted to be. So I would say, we knew what we wanted out of our practices and how we wanted our practices to look and function but we didn’t have a way to get there.

Rob Pellosie

We started Dentistry on the Square, her practice, in October, we opened October of 2014 and we didn’t purchase, close on my practice till December of 2016.

What was really difficult in the beginning was looking at the practice numbers and making heads or tails out of it. Yeah, production looks good. Collections maybe not so good and what is causing the discrepancy and looking at your bank account and figuring out well how much of this is my money that I can take home as a paycheck and what do we need to keep in the practice just to have a safety net. We just had all kinds of questions. We had a CPA that was separate and we had a financial planner guy that was kind of giving us some basic advice but everything was moving so slow.

Rob Pellosie

There were multiple occasions where we tried to get our accountant in touch with our financial advisor because the financial advisor would say things like “Well, what kind of cash flow were we working with?” There were pieces of information they needed to be able to tell us how to strategize and we got very frustrated trying to get the two of them connected.

But then Four Quadrants have your taxes, have your personal and your business all in one house, and they all know what’s going on. That’s really a time saver.

Rob Pellosie

And we do feel like the plans are tailored very specifically to the business model that we’re running. My office was heavily insurance-driven when we acquired it and we’re slowly but surely backing out of a lot of those plans to try and give me the opportunity to spend more time with patients and spend more time on my work and just give a higher level of care.

Linda Pellosie

We really felt like Four Quadrants really had a really good understanding. They looked at our particular situation and they gave us some guidance that led us to feel good about it.

Rob Pellosie

When it came to Dentistry on the Square, Linda’s office, we got to a point where we were ready to acquire the other half and Four Quadrants was instrumental in that whole process. It was very boutique, it was quick, it was painless. So, we just had to sign documents when they showed up via email. We had a couple phone calls. It was a night and day difference.

Linda Pellosie

Even early on in the process with Four Quadrants, you know, going through the process and them kind of getting to know us and us getting to know them, there were moments where we kind of doubted, you know, like I don’t know if, you know, be able to make those big changes you know that they say they can make and I would say to anyone that’s just joining, you know, just stick with it because you’ll start to see like on a yearly basis for sure that progress is being made a lot quicker than you’d ever be able to achieve on your own with anyone else.

Rob Pellosie

I think the overall philosophy is the same. No matter what you bring them they want to try and distill down you’ve got to the most efficient form so you can have maximum reward and really minimum stress or as low as stress as realistically possible at that point.

Linda Pellosie

So, I can imagine, you know, for other clients wanting to come in, they would be really good at putting themselves in your shoes as the owner of that particular practice and helping with that because that’s what they did for us.

Rob Pellosie

The dental industry, the business model is very unique and if you’re using a traditional financial planner, they may not have enough experience to really optimize what you’ve got coming in.

Linda Pellosie

You spend a lot of time telling them how things work in a dental practice. So it’s nice when you have people that really understand dental practice stuff and sometimes better than I feel we do. I mean sometimes you just want to tell people call them and talk to them. Just see what they say because you don’t want to come across as like too enthusiastic sometimes because it could drive people away but oh my gosh, I mean I would call them in a heartbeat you know I’m so glad we did. They’re very knowledgeable and they can tell you what happened, what to expect. You know, you always have that fear that you’re alone and nobody can help you but they really helped us. I can’t even imagine where we’d be if we didn’t have them helping us, I mean, life would be a lot different.
